COURSE OVERVIEW
Four Training Blocks over 16 Weeks

BLOCK ONE
FOUNDATIONS OF SPIRITUAL FITNESS
Focus: Build your foundation by understanding why spiritual fitness matters and how to train for it.
In fitness, you can’t grow without understanding load, recovery, and adaptation. This block lays the theological groundwork for spiritual growth using the same principle. We’ll introduce the nine spiritual skills (think: fruits of the Spirit as movements), and show you how training these skills becomes evidence of your relationship with Jesus.
👉 Action Step: You’ll create your own 14-day spiritual training program, design spiritual workouts using our exercise library, and learn how to apply Scripture like a coach applies a training plan.

BLOCK TWO
Teaching for Spiritual Transformation
Focus: Learn how to communicate God’s truth with clarity, confidence, and context—in a way that makes sense in a gym.
Just like a coach scales workouts for various athletes, we teach you how to scale Scripture to the space—whether it’s a devotional after class, a talk at a gym event, or a one-on-one moment of encouragement. You’ll build your first spiritual message, shape your content flow, and craft stories that stick.
👉 Action Step: You’ll write and deliver a 7-minute spiritual fitness talk using personal stories, fitness analogies, and Scriptural truth—training your voice like a preacher and your mind like a coach.

BLOCK THREE
SMALL GROUP FORMATION
Focus: Build a thriving community through HOPE Groups—our model for soul-strengthening small groups inside fitness spaces.
Think of this block like a small group of athletes training under a coach. It’s not just about the workout—it’s about trust, connection, and accountability. You’ll learn how to create a safe space where spiritual growth happens consistently and leaders multiply.
👉 Action Step: You’ll launch a mock HOPE Group, draft your own group’s mission statement and anchor Scripture, and develop a plan for raising up future leaders—just like turning athletes into future coaches.
BLOCK FOUR
MINISTRY IN GYMS
Focus: Learn how to view your gym as your mission field and use your influence to spark transformation that goes beyond the body.
This block helps you take spiritual fitness public—moving from internal rhythms to external impact. You’ll discover how to build relationships, host faith-based events, and create a vision for long-term ministry inside your unique gym culture.
👉 Action Step: You’ll design and present a complete spiritual fitness ministry plan for your fitness community—culminating in a capstone commissioning that launches you into this calling with clarity and purpose.
